Auditorium Rental Agreement

 

To schedule use of the Auditorium in the Juab County Building contact John Terry at 623-1615.  If you would like to inspect the auditorium to see what the facility looks like, you may do so during normal business hours (Monday – Friday between 8am-10am) when the county custodian is available to let you in.  Any additional questions about special needs (audio, sound, or lighting requirements) can be answered by John.  The following are the rental stipulations for the auditorium.

 

Before you rent the facility, two checks must be written:

 

1st Check (Required) – Refundable Cleaning Deposit (written to JFAC)

A $250.00 refundable deposit will be returned to you when, and if, the auditorium is left clean and in good repair.  ***Please note: if clean-up has not been done sufficiently, a $20.00 per hour cleaning charge will be deducted from the deposit.

 

2nd Check – Part 1 (Potentially Optional) - Auditorium Rental Fee (written to JFAC)

Rental fees are $15.00 per hour, or $150.00 per day for Juab County residents, $25.00 per hour, or $250.00 per day for non-residents. (This fee is optional and can be waived by the JFAC Board only for non-profit organizations.)

 

2nd Check – Part 2 (Required) - Operations, Lighting and Sound Technician

Included in the second check (non-refundable) is a combination of $50.00 for facility operations and $10.00/hr. per sound and lighting technician, if required, accrued daily (technicians are required if you plan to do anything more than turn on the house lights). ***The sound equipment has been recently upgraded and is unique, complex, and expensive and requires training to properly operate. Call John to help you arrange for trained technicians.

 

NOTE: Even though organizations under the auspices of JFAC may have rental and deposit fees waived, filling out the Rental Agreement and charges for operations, lighting and sound (if required) are prerequisite for use of the facility.

 

 


Cleaning and Use Guidelines

 

The Juab Fine Arts Council works hard to ensure that the auditorium continues to be a beautiful facility for everyone’s use.  The following guidelines have been put in place for that purpose.  However, if you have special circumstances, please clear them through John Terry.

 

Use Guidelines

-Dance performances; please us the black dance floor provided.

 

-Do not bring chairs into the auditorium from elsewhere in the building.  Extra chairs are located in the closets at the back of the auditorium beneath the spotlights.

 

-No Tape on chairs, floors, curtains or walls.  (Masking tape may be used on the stage but must be removed when finished.)

 

-Avoid using straw, hay, or glitter in the auditorium.

 

-If you need the piano moved, please be sure to contact John.

 

-No food or drinks, unless specifically cleared through the Juab Fine Arts Council.

 

Cleaning Requirements

-After renting the facility, the following cleaning jobs must be accomplished to receive a full refund of your deposit.

 

-All cleaning supplies are provided, and can be located in a plastic storage bin in the room on stage left.

 

-Stage floor & wood floor: Spray the cleaner (Windex) and follow with a dust mop.

 

-Carpet: Vacuum and spot clean.

 

-Seats: Wipe off with a damp rag, and place all seats in the upright position.

            (Don’t forget to clean the wood floor underneath).

-Emergency Exits:  Sweep down the stairways.

 

-Curtain:  DO NOT CLEAN!  If something is spilled on curtain, notify John.  Any attempts to clean the curtain may make the problem worse.  **If the curtain is damaged, your deposit will be forfeited.

 

-Garbage:  Pick up all garbage, take garbage bags to outside dumpster and replace garbage liners.

I have read the auditorium rental agreement and use and cleaning guidelines.  I agree to pay, use, and clean as outlined.
